Instructions on How to Have Peace During Election Season
A guide on how to have peace in all situations.
The Problem
Want to escape the feeding frenzy of the election season? I have the instructions for you to do just that. Read on:
Have you noticed that Democrats and Republicans are constantly at each other's throats especially during election season?
I've seen Republican accounts say some of the nastiest things to Democrat accounts and vice versa. The insults are non-stop from both sides.
Some of these insults really go overboard. I've seen a million plus Trump supporter account wish death upon Democrats. I've seen them call politician's kids some of the most vile names you can think of.
Of course, I've seen Democrat accounts do the same. There were several that openly wished that the Trump shooter didn't miss his shot. There are several that bash Baron Trump, and he's literally said nothing.
To me, it reminds me of a nature show about sharks where the people on the boat will lower in a side of beef and the sharks will all come to eat and start ripping it apart.
Shark Feeding Frenzy
These people on either side, have zero peace in their lives. At the root is their blood lust against one another. The Bible describes these people:
(Proverbs 1:11-12) "If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause: {12} Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:"
They wait there just hoping for something the other side does that they can attack on. Look at how the majority of Republicans acted just this last Monday when the stock market went down 2 to 3%. They started screaming "Kamala Crash!!"
They were joyous at the stock market going down and millions of people losing money. They wanted more of it just so their political opponent would be hurt. By the way, the market took just 2 to 3 days to recover from the small 2% drop.
The Solution
This is not what God wants for us and not how he wants us to act toward one another. Instead God wants us to love one another. The love that he wants us to have for others, even our enemies, is impossible to have unless you have the Holy Spirit residing in you.
(Matthew 5:43-44) "¶ Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. {44} But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;"
How do you get the Holy Spirit inside of you? Well, you have to put your trust in Jesus Christ. You have to trust that he was born of a virgin, never sinned, and that he died for your sins, was buried, and resurrected three days later.
If you truly believe that then the Holy Spirit will descend upon you and your life will be transformed. The Holy Spirit will start compelling you to change how you think and what you do from that moment on until the day you die or until Jesus comes back.
Only then will you truly be at peace. You will have a peace that others will not understand. The world will be falling apart around all of us and they will wonder why you are so peaceful during it, while they are are riddled with anxiety.
(Philippians 4:7) "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
How To Get Saved
If you are not saved yet by Jesus Christ for all of eternity, God wants you to know that you can be. It doesn't matter who you are or what you've done. God loves us so much he gave his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins on the cross even though we don't even deserve it. He was then buried for 3 days, and then gloriously resurrected 3 days later.
This is what the Bible says about how you can be saved:
(Acts 16:30-31) "And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? {31} And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."
